Commercial Board

ISTA’s Commercial Board is the voice for individual partners who have experience at non-profit ecosystems and clusters, investment focused accelerators and incubators, or have experience selling technologies into sport as a vendor, supplier, or consultant.  The board develops seller-side consensus for best practice standards, responsible applications, conference or meetings, and marketplace reporting.

The commercial board’s main focus is to help other boards deepen their understanding of product requirements, startup or scaling insights, and services best practice. Commercial partners share their experiences and knowledge regarding product differentiation, technology utilization, and scaling challenges inside sport.

Industry professionals must make a decision about where they spend their valuable time. Will you focus on media outlets as a pundit or will you work with the global trade association to solve systemic problems which undoubtedly will benefit decades of future entrepreneurs and steer billions worth of investments?

ISTA’s Innovation Board, Education Board, and Executive Board need your input.

Appointed vs Elected Board Members

Formalization may include bylaws which describe policies or budget allocation as an internal stakeholder partnership. Additional board seats may be created to meet a growing demand.

Join the board to enhance your global reputation or simply solve global sports industry challenges.

Executive Authorizations

All boards are internal boards operating under the explicit permission of the association. Boards serve either a global trade or education mission. Board candidates maintain seats based on performance reviews or peer elections. Board partners are considered volunteers and as such are not payroll employed, and have no compensation rights – unless an explicit partner agreement is authorized. Each two year cycle partner agreements must be reinitiated.
