Biography

Mike is a researcher in applied biomechanics and performance analysis with one foot in the academic world and one foot in the world of Olympic sport. He is passionate about finding new methods to collect data in the field, in sport specific settings, and often in challenging conditions. Hence, Mike is constantly testing and evaluating new systems while working closely with several sensor and analysis companies. He has a large network within sports and sports technologies due to his expertise in using advanced scientific methods in an applied and sports specific way.

Mike has been involved as an analyst in the training and preparations for six different Olympic games and is also often consulted for scientific advice by different sports gear companies.
